Destiny arrives uninvited and doesn't take off its hat. In the history of our winery, this is doubly true, as destiny indeed took off its gloves and set down its suitcase: it was a woman capable of recognizing a much grander concert in the humble voice of bulk wines from Southern Italy.
The name of this woman, Teresa Manara, embodies the entire essence and keystone of a family passion, the meaning of the art of winemaking and all the harvests experienced by generations who have taken turns, just like the actors in a play performed many times and which has become a classic, on a motherland where seasons, like human lives, flow into one another. Therefore, Teresa Manara is not just the name of a Chardonnay, a Negroamaro, and a Primitivo, but a watershed of memory, a loving tribute to the woman, the mother, the wife, the inspiring muse, and the grandmother.
Teresa Manara traversed Italy during years when businesses were still reserved for men, with a temperament that today imbues the most important selections of Chardonnay, Negroamaro, and Primitivo, signed in the nineties by her son Augusto Cantele.
