Gin Citadelle 70cl

THE ONLY ONE WITH 19 SPICES

The recipe for this Gin originates in 1771 in the Cognac area, where some distillers had the idea of mixing alcohol with a series of spices, which the village was well equipped with due to some trade with the East. The recipe has clearly remained secret over time but it is a combination of orange peel from Mexico, angelica from Germany, cardamom from India and cinnamon from Sri Lanka, as well as other fine ingredients from all continents. Appreciated for his digestive properties , Citadelle Gin has been able to establish itself on the international market, thanks to its strong taste, which has allowed it to win the favor of the public and critics.

Clear and transparent in colour, it expresses hints of jasmine and juniper on the nose, together with sweet notes of vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon, with light citrus hints of lemon and lime, with a touch of orange peel. Tasting reveals a fine, fresh, balanced flavour, with a good body that opens, refined and elegant, to the numerous references of star anise and cloves.
