ALICE Verdeca Bianco Salento IGP ALICE Verdeca Salento IGP is a still white wine produced in Puglia by Produttori di Vini di Manduria (Taranto_Puglia).
It is made from Verdeca grapes harvested manually in the last ten days of September. Production takes place in 15-20 year old vineyards cultivated with the espalier method on medium-textured calcareous-tuffaceous soils, located in an area north of Manduria. The grapes are harvested by hand with extreme care. The winemaking process is carried out in white with thermoconditioning of the fermentation process at 15°. This is followed by aging of the wine in stainless steel tanks. The wine then continues with aging in the bottle.
An organoleptic examination reveals a deep straw yellow color. On the nose, the aroma reveals surprising notes of white flowers mixed with citrus and fruity hints, among which pear and pineapple stand out. In the mouth, the taste is enveloping and at the same time pleasantly fresh and mineral.
The Primitivo di Manduria “Lirica” wine from Cantina dei Produttori di Manduria is a wine with a typically Mediterranean profile, a great southern red, soft and enveloping, with very ripe and expressive fruit. The color is intense ruby red with some garnet hues. The bouquet expresses aromas of ripe plum, cherry, small dark berries, hints of undergrowth and Mediterranean scrub, spicy and toasted notes, slightly woody. On the palate it is warm and intense, with rich and dense fruit, notes of chocolate, carob, an already evolved tannic texture, and a soft and spicy finish.
