We are in 1500 and a young painter, Bernardino Luini, had been commissioned to paint, a Saronno , a fresco depicting the adoration of the Magi; During his stay, he fell in love with the owner of the inn where he was staying and was inspired by her in portraying the Madonna. To repay his debt, the innkeeper gave him an infusion based on herbs, sugar, bitter almonds and brandy, the first Amaretto ! 500 years have passed since that day Amaretto Di Saronno it has become, thanks to its unmistakable almond aroma and its unique taste, the trendy liqueur, present in our homes and in the most glamorous venues. Bright amber colour, it intensely smells of bitter almond, honey and raisins, caramel and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is moderately warm, balanced between sweetness, softness, and with intense hints of almond and caramel.
Neat, with an ice cube and orange peel, it is the ingredient necessary for the creation of multiple long drinks and cocktails.
