Talò Primitivo di Manduria DOP 750ml

In San Marzano the winemakers take care of their small vineyard as they do a garden.
Their stories are many, as are the names of their families.
We chose one, Talò, to thank them ideally: family by family, story by story.

San Marzano wineries AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS BY YEAR

Grape variety: Primitive.
Area: San Marzano, Salento, Puglia. About 100 meters above sea level.
Ground: Medium clayey texture, shallow and with good presence of skeleton.
Cultivation: Espalier (5,000 vines per hectare).
Harvest: Second week of September.
Winemaking: Thermo-controlled maceration of approximately 10 days followed by alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts.
Refinement: In French and American oak barriques for 6 months.
Organoleptic characteristics: Ruby red color enriched with violet reflections; opulent aroma reminiscent of ripe cherries and plums, with pleasant notes of cocoa and vanilla. Wine with remarkable structure, softened by the persuasive warmth of Primitivo, which ends in notes of long sweetness.
Pairings: Robust first courses, lamb, game with elaborate sauces and hard cheeses.
Serve at: 16-18°C.
